Gym owner David Petersen has been in the fitness industry for 18 years and is
currently employed by a large fitness gym - he writes fitness articles and trains their trainers.
His wife Carol Petersen is also a long term qualified fitness professional, she
likes to focus on training with women and together both personal trainers will offer services that include
nutrition and fitness support.
Before starting with them they had a Facebook page that had no "fans" on it and
were in the process of setting up a website.

Carried out keyword research and based on what I found in terms of searches and

As the gym premises was under construction I didn't set up their Google Places
profile until after it opened on 26th April
By the end of the first month their blog was already ranking well for keywords
relating to being a gym in clapham (first 10 pages of search results).

About the local search marketing work I undertake for clients
This case study is a quick look at how I worked
with a client in their first couple of months to give you an idea of the work I undertake. I use online
marketing and local search marketing to help businesses with premises get clients through their
door.
I work a total of 12 hours a month for a client, 3 hours every week based on my
online marketing services package. All profiles created and domains
bought belong to the client if they decide not to continue working with us. There is a six month
commitment.
The links developed by the work I undertake are permanent once created. This means
even if you decided not to continue working with us after six months all the links we build are still out there
doing your business good and at the very least if you just added a blog post a few times a week you will continue
to benefit from people getting in touch and making enquiries every week.

Every month my local search marketing SEO includes adding the business into
local web directories and online business directories whenever
possible relevant to the niche they are in.
I also set up profiles on different web properties ensuring only quality
information is included and linking back to their main sites. I pick the sites to create profiles on based on what
they do and mix in online networking sites, local community sites, forums as well as other places.
